West Highland Terrier, Waiting at the Window

West Highland Terrier
By Della Burgus
Oil on canvas.
10 x 12 x 1.5 inches
May be displayed without a frame.

Dogs love us far more than we could ever deserve. They never want to be apart from us and whenever we leave they wait so patiently for our return. They live for the moment we can be together again. Maybe they just get a pat on the head, maybe they don't even get that, but their lives revolve around us. Hug your dog today, OK? You will be doing yourself a favor.

This painting is done on stretched canvas that has been wrapped over stretcher bars and stapled on the back. No staples show on the sides, and the stretcher bars are extra thick, 1.5 inches. I painted the edges as part of the painting, so that it can be displayed as is, without a frame. I love to paint Westies because they have such expressive eyes and so much energy!
